Darrell Grant: Songs for the Soul.  Sunday afternoon at the OIMB Boathouse as an opportunity for the audience to enjoy an innovative performance by Darrell. His  songs and stories, and piano mastery are well known but in this concert he used some recording technology with support from David Ford our sound technician. Darrell’s innovative tools provided additional percussion as well as voice over to many of his piano pieces. During this well received return to perform at the festival he shared stories of his recent compositions and current projects. Grant directs the Artist as Citizen Initiative at Portland State University and is active as a composer and educator.
