Musicians from our community provide an eclectic selection of musical genres and instruments. Featured are performances by Dace Sultanov, Cello; Second Wind, a quartet of male voices; and the Swingin’ in the Rain big band. Tickets $15, and students are free.

Adam Stern returns at Associate Conductor to conduct the Thursday night Pops Concert July 25 with an excellent selection of music by American composers. Pops programing will feature a broad selection of music by composers including Gould, Joplin, Anderson, Bonds, Copland and Ellington. Saxophone soloist Aaron Johnson will join the Orchestra for three songs.

The Saturday night July 27 performance (Orchestra II) will feature Guest Conductor Martin Majkut, who has selected Smetana: Vltava; Britten: Four Sea Interludes from Peter Grimes; and Dvořák: Symphony no. 9, From the New World. Majkut is Music Director for the Rogue Valley Symphony in Ashland, Oregon, Music Director of the Queens Symphony Orchestra in New York, and faculty member of Aaron Copland School of Music.

Tickets are available at the Front Desk of the Coos Art Museum, Tuesday-Friday 11am-4pm; Saturday and Sunday 1-4pm. And also in the OCMA office located in the second floor of the Coos Art Museum.
Tickets can be purchased at the door of each event except for the Boat house where the limited seating may be sold out. Tickets can be reserved by calling the OCMA office 541- 267-0938 and links for purchase are listed by each event.
