The musical group has roots in our south coast. Marty Chilla is a graduate of North Bend High School and SWOCC. Marty’s mother proudly talks about the group’s legacy. They formed in a University of Oregon dorm room and have a history of playing amazing music for more than 35 years at festivals\, events\, rallies\, kickoffs & theatre performances throughout the PNW. \nThe “Beets” today are a powerful eight-piece ensemble who have consistently rocked the West Coast since their college days. They have played everything from the Willamette Valley Folk Festival and Secretary of State Bill Bradbury’s inauguration to the Dalai Lama’s visit to Eugene in 2013\, as well as many\, many weddings.
