Gary Allegretto planted the seed last year, when the 4th graders of Coos County were each given a Hohner harmonica and taught how to play in one workshop. OCMA can’t quit there. With remaining funds from the Oregon Community Foundation/Tom and Joan Stamper, Banner Bank and the Coos Bay Lions, which provided “Harmonicas in the Schools” last Spring, we have enlisted Tommy Hogan to continue their musical journey as he continues instruction for 5th and 6th graders at Highland Elementary in Reedsport, 5th graders in Bandon and a local group of home schooled students!

All these students have been receiving instruction within their local schools thanks to Sean Grubb of Reedsport and Holly Sylvester of Bandon.

The students will be joining Tommy Hogan on Saturday, March 5th, at 2:00 p.m. at the NB Presbyterian church to perform in concert for families and friends. This event is open to the general public.

On Wednesday, March 2nd from 6:30-8:30 pm, at the North Bend Public Library, for only $10.00 the general public is invited to a master class and mini concert with Tommy Hogan! Attendees are asked to bring their own harmonicas.
